RBS-QsrR
This part is a sequence containing the QsrR gene, which encodes a transcriptional repressor that can sense and respond to quinone compounds, and belongs to the YodB family, widely distributed in Gram-positive bacteria. QsrR can covalently bind to quinone compounds through its fifth cysteine residue, forming S-quinonization modification, which changes its conformation and nucleophilicity, leading to its release from DNA. In this way, QsrR can relieve the transcriptional repression of its target genes, enabling bacteria to adapt and resist the toxicity of quinone compounds. This part can be used to study the signal transduction and gene regulation mechanisms of quinone compounds.
